AWS D1.1 : Covers material and design, fabrication, inspection, qualification, and reporting and recordkeeping as it pertains to structural steel fabrication and erection.
AWS D1.3 : Materials 3/16 inch thick or less. The structural welding code covers 1/8 inch and thicker.
AWS E6013 : One of the most commonly-used rods for amateurs and beginners.
AWS E7018 : A low hydrogen iron potassium powder coated carbon steel electrode.
ASTM A36 : The most commonly used mild and hot-rolled steel.
ASTM A572 : Five grades with specified minimum yield strengths of 42, 50, 55, 60, and 65 ksi.
EN 1303 : Classifies cylinders for locks using an 8 digit coding system. A broadly similar classification system is used for other building hardware product standards. Each digit refers to a particular feature of the product measured against the standard's performance requirements.
EN 1634 : British and European standard that sets out the requirements for testing fire resistance of door and shutter assemblies, including openable windows. It's a critical benchmark to measure the effectiveness of fire doors in preventing the spread of fire and smoke.
EN 1670 : This European Standard specifies the requirements for the corrosion resistance of building hardware for doors, windows, shutters and curtain walling. This European Standard provides a method of classification of corrosion resistance of building hardware based on performance in a neutral salt spray test (EN ISO 9227).
EN 16035 : Hardware performance sheet (HPS) - Identification and summary of test evidence to facilitate the inter-changeability of building hardware for application to fire resisting and/or smoke control doorsets and/or openable windows.
BS EN 12209 : The European standard covering mechanically operated locks, latches and locking plates. This standard covers requirements and test methods for all types of mechanical lock or latch including associated or separately supplied locking plates.
UL752 : UL 752 Protection Standards for Bullet Resistant Glass. The test determines whether “protection is provided against complete penetration, passage of fragments of projectiles, or spalling (glass fragmentation) to the degree that injury would be caused to a person standing directly behind the bullet-resisting barrier.
EN 1063 : Uses a seven-tiered scale to define ballistic protection from projectile weapons (BR classes) ranging from . 22 cal. long rifle to 7.62x51mm hardcore ammunition and two additional levels to define protection against shotguns (SG class).
EN 1522 : This European standard for bullet resistance in windows, doors, shutters and blinds, which sets out 7 bullet resistant classes (FB) from FB1-FB7.
EN 1523 : This European Standard defines a test procedure to permit classification of the bullet resistance of windows, doors, shutters and blinds.
NIJ 0108.01 : Establishes minimum performance requirements and test methods for ballistic resistant protective materials (armor) intended to provide protection against gunfire.
ASTM A653 : A653 covers a range of steel sheet types including zinc-coated (galvanized) or zinc-iron.
QQ-L-201F GRADE C : 99.9% Pure Sheet Lead.
ASTM B749-85, Type L51121: 99.9% Pure sheet lead.
